In this video, you will learn how to use OData filter queries in Power Automate for SharePoint. Using the “Get items” action in Power Automate, you can retrieve data from SharePoint lists or libraries. However, to filter the data based on specific criteria, you need to provide the OData filter query syntax, which could be a challenge for citizen developers. To simplify this process, there is a new experimental feature that provides a GUI-like experience for creating filter queries. Enabling this feature allows you to select a column, define criteria, and the system will generate the OData filter criteria for you.
The video demonstrates how to use the new feature by starting with the Title column and filtering items in the SharePoint list based on the equal condition. You will learn how to switch to advanced mode to view the actual OData filter query syntax, and then switch back to basic mode. The video also shows how to use the starts with and substring of operations to filter data, and how to get the internal name of columns in your SharePoint list or library.
